The Glen Rose Dinosaur Tracks
One-Hundred and Twelve Million Years Ago…
A 20-ton, 60-foot-long sauropod squished across the muddy ground near present day Glen Rose, Texas trailed by a 30-foot-long theropod. Today, the fossilized trackways of these two great beasts reveal this story of their struggle for survival, and the tracks can be seen anytime, any day in Austin, Texas!
But the tracks are in a fight of their own. The Glen Rose Dinosaur Tracks, which have been displayed in a small building outside of the Texas Memorial Museum at The University of Texas at Austin since 1941, are deteriorating. Learn how you can Help Save the Tracks.
